Special Events Planned for the year

Colorado National Monument at Saddlehorn

All sessions begin at sundown and last for two hours (see map). Members are asked to show up 30 minutes early. The public is invited to attend. We’ll have a variety of telescopes ready to peruse the night sky. Training sessions for members begin after our public demonstrations and viewing.

Visitors please park on the left in the lot (the scopes will be setup in the central area). All sessions presume acceptable weather conditions. The dates for 2008 will be:

Highline State Park

The following sessions are also planned at Highline for those campers in the campground and anyone else who wants to come out for the evening and enjoy the night sky as well (see map). Our 2008 dates there will be:

Messier Marathon

Location: Saddlehorn parking lot on the Colorado National Monument.
